An array of colorful characters. Mysteries upon mysteries intertwined and locked together. A missing person, an important character and an officer of the law at that!! Mactown leaves the reader with a number of questions. These mysteries alone had my attention locked in from the very beginning.
Some of the characters were seedy and shady but these characters and the situations at hand leave you desiring more. More background and why have they done what they have chose to do. Throughout the book the author answers our questions a little at a time and we are subjected to a great unwinding plot touching on so many personal points.
A murder, a court case, a missing person held captive by some interesting and strange people. Mactown is a captivating story based in the background of city life and modern times; giving the book a very intense feel throughout the story.
The Crescent Moon Chronicles seem to be a wonderful series. This is the second book in the series and it is a very realistic and exciting read. A personal and fervent story that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. I thought the ending was excellent with or without the possibility of a third book.
