Review: 5/5 ⭐ | If God could Rap (Rhythm & Poetry)

Updated: Aug 18, 2022

When I came across this book, I was intrigued and totally drawn to purchase it. I am glad I did!

The foreword is very well written which opens the mind to understanding how to decipher some of the poems in this book. For me, it is impressive. In regards to that, anyone can read this book without knowing the lifestyle. Especially if you're not a person who can relate to the environment which poems depict. Therefore empowering one to open their mind to the notion…"what if Jesus was from the hood?"

The introduction blew me away and allowed me to see the wisdom of the author and his insight into a female superior being. It also shows a conservative minded reader that the Poetry (rap) is truly written in art form and not the lack of education or grammar ability. For me, this was a very strong point to have the introduction written eloquently and informatively. Kudos to the author!

This is not William Shakespeare type of Poetry and definitely not for a reactionary mind. It takes you into the life of blacks in the system of poverty, ghetto life, and through the eyes of those entwined in that lifestyle. With all that being said…I absolutely loved this book and would recommend any lover of Rap and the art of Poetry to read this book.

Well Done!! 🎤🎶💓
