The importance of positive book reviews is crucial. Recently I had the honor of being a guest on The Authors Spot Podcast and it was truly an honor. However, if you missed it; I'll give you a quick run down.
After your book is published and available to the public, how do you plan on creating sales?? Having good book reviews is truly exponentially important. The more good reviews you have the better. The more your book gets, the more your book gets circulated and seen by potential customers.
A verified purchase is important as well, if you are not familiar with this term, it is simply a review from someone who actually bought your book rather than a gifted copy that was reviewed.
Let's say that you have released your book and received a few good reviews from customers and then you are left one simple bad review. Now whether it was a bad review about your book or even if it was something out of your control. It will take numerous good reviews to recover the access status you were at. Who sees your book where it is sold at online is all based on algorithms and your best way to sway things in your favor is from good reviews.
